Lihir women learn sewing, clothes dyeing

 WOMEN graduating from a weeklong sewing and clothes dyeing training have been told to put into practice what they had learnt to benefit their families.

Their time and effort in learning would be worth then, they were told.

United Church minister in charge of the North Lihir Circuit Rev Frank Taura told the 20 women that they were fortunate to be provided with such an opportunity.

Organised by the Women’s Fellowship of North Lihir Circuit, it was attended by women from the Catholic and Alliance of Local Churches (ALC) at the Plenmalik Memorial Church in Londolovit.

Maria Musmus, a Catholic women’srepresentative, told participants that training would enable them to get to know each other.
