LINK PNG, a subsidiary of Air Niugini, will resume flights to Tari in Hela, commencing Monday.
Link PNG suspended services to Tari last July to allow for major upgrade to the runway by the National Airports Corporation.
The airline, in a statement, said work was complete and Link PNG was pleased to be able to restore services to Tari and surrounding communities once again.
The company said there would be three weekly direct flights between Port Moresby and Tari, every Monday Wednesday and Friday using the Dash-8 aircraft.
“The airline already operates scheduled services to Komo, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which will continue to operate,” it said.
“Tickets can be purchased as normal.
“Link PNG will continue to operate with strict health and safety measures in place including temperature testing for all passengers and providing face masks and hand sanitiser to ensure your air travel is safe.”
