A LIST of those who have qualified for the tertiary education study assistance scheme (Tesas) will be published soon, according to the Department of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology.
Department acting secretary Dr Francis Hualupmomi said if the names of the 2021 to 2022 intakes were not on the list, students should check with the institutions they applied to.
“Students whose names do not appear on the Tesas award list should consult their respective institutions and confirm their admission status for 2022,” he said.
Hualupmomi said 27,143 had applied for places in tertiary institutions, with 9,371 selected for government-funded places.
He said 17,772 were eligible and would be considered through the national admission pool to fill the 5,319 Government-funded spots available in 57 State-run higher education institutions.
Hualupmomi said students in the pool still had the opportunity to be selected, according to the institution’s requirements.
This year, 31,817 students sat the Grade 12 upper secondary school certificate.
