Listen to people, remove corruption

Letters

I WISH to point out that the Government of Prime Minister James Marape may have not taken heed of warnings issued by many concerned citizens on the need to drain out the systematic corruption pool at “Waigani swamp” some two years ago when he wrestled power out of former prime minister and Ialibu-Pangia MP Peter O’Neill.
It seems Marape’s Government may have caught itself in the curses trap while squandering of public funds from monthly appropriations is quickly becoming a norm.
An audit of budgetary books after next year’s national general election will point out these two years of wasted opportunity for the country as all referrals have fallen on deaf ears and blind eyes.
