Deputy Western Governor and Star Mountain LLG president Borok Pitalok has retained his seat for a sixth consecutive term.

He polled 2,126 votes to beat his rivals Fred Dangkim, who polled 1,048, and John Wanim on 811.

Assistant returning officer George Papin declared Pitalok last Thursday.

Pitalok had performed poorly in the first part of the count but strengthened his position when he began collecting votes from his home village in Wangbin and from Migalsim village to surge ahead.

After the primary votes, Pitalok was comfortably leading with 1,000 votes over his nearest rival.

He passed the absolute majority after the sixth elimination to retain his seat.
