WAMPAR LLG president Peter Namus has welcomed the call by district administrator Tony Ase for police to investigate him.
He has vowed to reveal the corrupt deals involving the joint district planning and budget priority committee and will provide documents as proof.
Ase, who is also acting deputy provincial administrator for district services, threatened to take action against Namus who was alleged to have claimed one of the new vehicles launched two weeks ago for the district.
Namus who was frustrated with the non-implementation of the joint district planning and budget priority committee’s resolutions stripped off the administration’s sticker on a Toyota Landcruiser vehicle minutes after its launch.
Namus also reported that frustrated Taraka youths took one of two outboard motors from the back of his car at West Taraka.
Ase in refuting the reports, said that the 40-horsepower outboard motor was for the Morobe local level government and president to use.
He said if Namus failed to return the equipment, he would file a complaint with the police.
