A local firm has come on board to support the PNG Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry with office equipment worth more than K6000.
A1 Links Limited managing director Helen Soh said a commitment was made to support the non-govenmental organisation that was involved in supporting and training current and future women entrepreneurs in the country.
Soh, who is venturing into the business of supplying office equipment, presented a printer with ink, computer with software and A4 paper, all worth K6420.
PNGCCI president Avia Koisen said it was a timely help when her office had problems with printer and computer due to vandalism caused by an unknown officer.
“It is a help to the community because our work is towards building a strong community with women entering into business,” she said.
Pora Terum, operations manager for the A1 Links Limited, said support was made to “help you so that you would continue to help other women train to become entrepreneurs”.
“We don’t want to sit and wait for foreigners to come in to do the little business that our mothers can do,” Terum said.
“Our mothers are capable of becoming good business people in our land.”
