Locals happy with quality of road

 BENEFICIRIES of the Mendi-Kandep Road living in the Mendi-Munihu district of Southern Highands are happy with the quality of work produced by Chinese contractor Covec China (PNG) Ltd.
Most people living in the Karinz and Lai Valley LLGs are surprised by the negative impression in the media from a few individuals claiming the contractor did not do quality work.
Speaking on behalf of the people, Long Punen, a villager elder from Mt Wiri, said people who were not from the area should not make comments that would hurt and demoralise the contractor.
He said the firm was working well.
