RALUANA local level government (LLG) in Kokopo, East New Britain, aims to actively address its law and order problems, a senior official says.
Raluana LLG president Tiolam Wawaga said his administration was working with the provincial government through the office of the governor in controlling crime and security issues in their area.
Wawaga, who is also chairman of the provincial works and technical services, said the LLG administration was working on a submission to the provincial executive council requesting approval to set up a police post in the area.
“Law and order has been one of my priorities and I urge other ward members and their committees to work together to address law and order problems in our community,” he said.
