Look into war crimes

PAPUA New Guinea is being used as a big museum in the pretext of covering up all the wrongs done to our people and land during the colonial era and WWII.
Many people suffered harsh treatments, introduced diseases such as smallpox and measles that nearly wiped out the Americas and Aborigines in its early histories.
Our people became innocent victims of greed and self-glorification in the name of exploration but in actual fact, it was the rich resources that caused it all.
The colonisers were after the riches our land.
This country, even before it became a country, did not have common enemies.
But sufferance, mistreatment, death and destruction occurred which we could simply ignore to embrace lies fed to us by the colonists and imperialists is inhumane.
Where is the logic by telling the world that Kokoda Track and its war relics are now up for sale as tourist destination and attraction?
What about the unnamed innocent lives that perished?
What about the place that was destroyed by bombs?
Are we not man enough to ask for rectification and justification for the cruelty that was inflicted? Our elites should dig into the hidden historical facts and tell the world what really happened.
We have the right to address this issue with the appropriate colonists and imperialists if our Government is incapable of doing this.
The wrongs done should be compensated and an apology to the nation should be tendered.
We cannot be free, we cannot be independent, we cannot sustain ourselves if we continue to embrace and follow the colonial spirit ingrained with fear into our constitution and our fore fathers conscience during the colonial era and WWII.
Before you visit a war relic or a war-struck place, do think about your very own fellow countrymen or women or children who perished.
And on their blood you could now collect a blood fee in the name of tourism because you have turned something gruesome into a museum.
Shame!
As human beings governed by the International Human Rights Laws, we have every right to act in bringing to light the wrongs done.
