Lou Is to host Manus title

Normal, Sports

THE success of winning gold by Team Manus in the darts competition at the PNG Games in Port Moresby last year, has created interest from the outer islands of south coast, to take up the sport seriously.
The Lou Island Darts Association (LIDA) has organised the Easter Cup challenge over the long weekend, which has attracted 16 teams – 10 men and six women.
There will be prizemoney and trophies up for grabs in the singles, doubles, triples and team events.
This weekend’s event will see the best darts players in both the men and women’s divisions making their mark on the board.
Tournament coordinator Daniel Poli is impressed with the standard of the game exhibited by both young and old players.
