Lower cost of food to help our SMEs

Letters

A FOOD subsidy policy should be implemented by the Government in order to support SMEs in Papua New Guinea.
The high cost of food is slowing down the progress of many businesses.
When the prices of food are high, people don’t have enough to save and invest.
All the revenue from small businesses are usually spent on daily necessities such as food.
Road markets, street sales and trades stores are some of the SMEs which people venture into to help put food on the table and not large businesses.
We need a food subsidy policy.
