I REFER to the front page newspaper reports on the Ombudsman Commission’s investigation into the K3 billion UBS loan transaction.Whilst I commend the Ombudsman Commisison for intervening into this critical issue, I believe the Chief Ombudsman Rigo Lua must step aside because he was appointed by Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and may not be impartial in his investigation. I also appeal to Opposition Leader Belden Namah to take this matter to court as this massive loan transactionwill have detrimental effects for our nation and people.
