THE people of Lufa district in Eastern Highlands last Thursday congratulated Sir Manasupe Zurenuoc on being recognised by the Queen for his dedication to serving the people of Papua New Guinea.
Speaking on behalf of the people, Jacob Manamana, of Oliguti village, congratulated Sir Manasupe for being a committed public servant who displayed honesty and dedication to reach the top public service position in the country.
“On behalf of my family, the people of Oliguti and Lufa district, I congratulate Sir Manasupe on the occasion of him being made a knight by the Queen,” Manamana said.
He said Sir Manasupe was born at the Asaroka Lutheran Church in Eastern Highlands and was close to the hearts of all the Eastern Highlanders.
“He has been a good role model for public servants, giving all his prime time and life towards serving the people of PNG.
“Sir Manasupe deserved the honour bestowed upon him by the Queen,” he said.
Manamana thanked the O’Neill Government and those who recommended him for the award.
He said through Sir Manasupe, Eastern Highlands received great attention and support from the Government.
“I appeal to the Government not to shift him around as he was instrumental in the planning of Vision 2050.”
“Allow him to complete his full term to ensure the vision is fully implemented,” he said.
