Lupari wants Christianity in education system

CHIEF Secretary Isaac Lupari says Christianity must be given its right place in the education system and public service, as God is the solution to all our problems.
Lupari was speaking during the 2019 public service dedication programme organised by the Department of Community Development, Youth and Religion, the Motor Vehicle Insurance Limited and PNG Council of Churches.
He said there was a missing link between the Christianity enshrined in the Constitution and the public service.
“I am sure our forefathers saw Christianity as a solution to many of our problems, but that has not been integrated in our education system creating a huge gulf (with) the public service,” he said.
“Christianity must rightly find its place in our education system for a very productive and effective public service machinery.
“Just like the Theory of Evolution, Christianity must be taught in our education system from elementary to universities.
“I am certain that if we institutionalise God, many of the ills of today will be a thing of the past.”
Public Service Minister Elias Kapavore reminded the public servants of the important role they play in serving the public.
