HOCBU Lutheran Church of St Philip Parish in Lae Circuit last Sunday presented a submission and a five-year plan to the Morobe government.
The submission was presented to Morobe government church partnership programme manager Jason Akuli.
The Hocbu congregation made the submission after the church building, which was built more than 30 years ago, fell apart due to weather and termite attack.
The submission requests K20,000 to go towards extension of the church building to cater for the growing number of congregation members.
Church secretary Siving Mambu said the five-year plan catered for extension of church, children’s Sunday School activities and building of a pastor’s house.
He said it was good that the plan was launched to make public aware of church needs to teach people the Good News.
Akuli assured the congregation of assistance.
