MA secretary confirms party members

MELANESIAN Alliance (MA) party general secretary Nick Klapat has confirmed that eight MPs have been registered with the party.
Klapat made the comments in response to reports that some MPs were not registered under any party.
He said the party had received a letter from the Registrar of Political Parties Dr Alphonse Gelu on July 26 confirming that the eight MPs were registered under MA.
Kalapat said the eight MPs were registered under Melanesian Alliance Party after satisfying all requirements.
He acknowledged that MA had nine MPs including Sam Basil (Bulolo), Thomas Pelika (Menyama), Koni lguan (Markham), Lekwa Gure (Rigo), Chris Nangoi (Sumkar), Kennedy Wenge (Nawaeb), Peter Sapia (Rai Coast) and Moriape Kavori (Lufa) who had joined Joseph Yopyyopy (Wosera-Gawi) as members of the MA.
He said they had convened the parliamentary wing to appoint representatives as per the Melanesian Alliance party’s constitution.
