Madang got K7m in DSIP fund: Official
By DOROTHY MARK
MADANG received K7 million in district services improvement funds last year, its Treasury said.
It said the fund remains untouched as the K1.6 million rollover from 2017 is being used currently.
The information was revealed by reliable sources in the district treasury when Governor Peter Yama slammed a Facebook post by MP Bryan Kramer that it did not receive its DSIP. For that reason, Kramer said, Prime Minister Peter O’Neill would be summoned to explain to the people of Madang when he visited for a ground breaking ceremony for airport extension on Friday.
“We have received our DSIP of K7 million which is now sitting in our district bank account since 2017,” an official who wished to remain anonymous told The National.
Yama said O’Neill’s visit should not be disturbed by any one because Madang needed to be developed and the people needed those developments.
Joe Viaken, a Bogia spokesman, said the prime minister’s visit to the province was welcome by Bogia and Sumkar people because he was also expected to open the long-waited Banab Bridge which would allow hundreds of people from the two districts to travel in peace.
Yama said Madang was looking forward to the prime minister’s visit to launch the K100 million airport extension and announce other developments in the pipeline .
He said those developments had been needed for a long time by the Madang people.

So all this time our Member has been telling Fat Lies. it seems Bryan Kramer so Lucy to receive 2018 DSIP fund without submitting any acquittals for 2017 spending.
If the Prime Minister is going by the books, Bryan Kramer is not entitle to receive the balance of 2018 DSIP and 2019 DSIP funds until he submit 2017 & 2018 Acquittals.
