Madang MPs challenged

Letters

IT is interesting to observe senior MPs from the ruling party recently defecting to the Opposition in the hope of forming an alternative government.
Even more fascinating is that these MPs are some of the architects of the ruling party (PNC).
Their reason to defect is simple, no confidence in the prime minister who seemed to run the country without much input or opposing views from them as ministers.
Conversely, what I hardly understand is the MPs from Madang who seemed not to take any notice of the events unfolding, and comfortably following the one who is referred to as their superior.
Ever since the PM’s reign began in 2011, there is hardly any major impact projects delivered in the province, but they still remain faithful to their bosses.
Some of the projects that got started for some time, but with no ends forthcoming are the Manam resettlement,
Baiyer-Madang transnational highway, controversial PIMZ, Airport extension, and the Banab Bridge which took almost a year to complete.
The Madang MPs are hereby kindly asked to resign from the government side and join the opposition to form the next government.
The inability of MPs to deliver to the people of Madang under the current regime is speaking volumes, and an opportune time like this with the VONC looming, make up your mind to shift floor and be part of the team to form the next government.
The situation challenging your comfort zone is only telling you that an opportunity awaits on the other side.
