Madang MPs urged to stick with Govt

Letters

THE turn of events on Nov 13 by leaders on the Government side moving to the Opposition is unimaginable.
All the MPs voted for the Independent Commission Against Corruption Bill earlier unanimously (96-0).
What perplexed me most is the abrupt move by these leaders who knowingly crossed the floor.
They thought they were exercising their democratic right and some did it unconsciously.
Later some regretted their action and returned to the Government.
For the Madang MPs, there is no good reasons for you to move to the Opposition.
What interests me most is the Madang Governor Peter Yama moving to the opposition as seen in one of the daily newspapers on Nov 19 as he was being welcomed in Vanimo.
The Governor should think before moving because there are major mining projects taking place in Usino-Bundi.
The Marape-led government is setting some measures in place by amending the Mining Act, Oil and Gas Act in the sector so that landowners can benefit from the projects.
On this basis, I kindly ask the Madang MPs who are currently in the opposition camp to return to the Government side.

Jason,
Madang

  • It shows very clearly that these are the corrupt MPs moving over to opposition. They want to change the government to save themselves. These are self leaders. Please, I pray and hope they all do not return come 2022.
Only JM and his troops (honest warrior troops.)

  • Maybe he hopes Namah will allow him to be at the opening of the already ten-year old PMIZ that’s seen tens of millions spent already – SOMEWHERE!
