ONCE dubbed the most beautiful town in Papua New Guinea, Madang could be on a path to recovery if the sealing of Kasagten Road is the start to something promising.
Running between the Bates Oval and Serilom Street, the road literally cuts through the heart of Madang town and the sealing has accorded it a much-needed facelift.
Other physical developments were evident yesterday as two mega building structures are in varying stages of completion in town.
This should significantly add to the town’s inventory of shopping options and free up more office spaces to let.
Longtime Madang town residents have remarked that their once “sleepy” town is waking-up to an influx of people and new businesses anticipating a “good time ahead” when the Kurumbukari and Yandera mines begin operations.
