 The Madang Mens Basketball team for the 2013 All Star Game in Lae, which starts today, are geared up for the competition.

The team is made up mostly of first time representative players who have shown that they have the flair for the next three days.

The team, which left yesterday under team manager Kevin Wal and seasoned senior player Ziwo Tore, were in high spirits aiming to give their best shots.

According to Wal, the team members were plucked from three separate basketball clubs.

Mavericks club of Newtown had five of its players chosen and three each from Kake and Stars basketball clubs.

The team comprise of Eddie Dumur (co-captain), Tore (captain), Nelson Thom, Reinford Kendo, a second year Madang Tech student; Edmund Bannick,second year business studies student at DWU; Emmanuel Wanur, Henry Tore, Raymond Parangkei  Jnr, Grade 11 student at Tusbab Secondary; Melchizedek Sode, third year environmental health studies student at DWU; Samson Haden, Israel Foxi and Sena Salum.
