Madang provincial admin should hire graduates
The National, Wednesday February 26th, 2014
IN some perspective, the Bogia MP is correct in his recommendation for the Madang provincial administration to improve its human resources capacity as prerequisites for accountability and effective service delivery of goods and services.
The administration should concentrate on developing graduate programmes for university students to undergo training and development with the provincial administration.
We have enough graduates in public policy management, accounting, economics, law, human resource and engineering, who can contribute greatly towards the development of the province.
Since the OLDPGLLG (section 74-76) provides special powers to the provincial administrator in appointing and employing provincial and district staff, the administration should focus on young graduates for the future image and performance of the province.
