In reporting the incident last Friday, Central police commander Chief Supt John Maru said the incident took place on Sept 25 at 14-Mile near the old Ilimo Farm area located outside Port Moresby.
The victim, Jangen Sauto, 23 was severely stabbed with a screw driver and died shortly after.
Another man, who was with the victim when the suspects attacked,  Isaac Martin, 22, was severely injured when he was also beaten up with a stone and other objects.
Maru named the accused as Copland Karau, 30; Makis Karau, 28; Don Karau, 2; and Hilda Karau, 20.
The Karaus, Sauto and Martin are all residents of 14-Mile.

Police could not also give details of who was charged with what offence.
