MADANG provincial education adviser Moses Sariki plans on installing integrated information and database systems this year to ease paper school data.

Sariki made said this last Thursday while commenting on whether the 742 elementary schools listed had confirmed receiving their tuition free subsidies for last year.

He said a list published in The National on Jan 27, 2012, by the education department showed schools, their enrolments and the amounts received differed to his tally.

“The list states that 664 elementary schools have been paid. I know that 238 primary, nine high and secondary, seven vocational, one open distance education, one inclusive education and four permitted schools have received theirs.”
