Magazine, CRU combine to host sevens

LOCAL magazine Sports Tok has backed the Capital Rugby Union sevens tournament over Easter at Bava Park.
The Sports Tok Sevens starts tomorrow and ends on Saturday and has attracted 24 men’s teams as well as four women’s sides.
Sports Tok director Benson Upasi and partner Elsie Passingan announced the sponsorship with former Pukpuks Paul Joseph and Joe Kautu to manage the event.
“This will be an annual event held every Easter weekend,” Upasi said.
“We’re starting off with rugby and include other sports later.
“We want to give players a chance to identified by the PNGRFU sevens programme.”
