WAIGANI Committal Court magistrate John Kaumi has condemned the lateness of police prosecutors in court.
Kaumi sounded angry when he warned them, saying he would strike out police cases if they were late again.
He criticised the late arrival of prosecutors during a court session on Wednesday. They actually arrived some minutes after the scheduled 9.30am start.
“We start at 9.30am. That is the court timing and not the prosecution timing,” he told the prosecutors.
“We start at 9.30am come tomorrow. I will strike out police cases if you do not arrive on time.”
Kaumi said all prosecutors should be in court before the start of court sessions at 9.30am.
