AUSTRALIAN Chief of Army Lt Gen David Morrison says that every member of the force has a duty to maintain the culture and tradition of the army.

Speaking at the Australian High Commission last Friday, Morrison, shared his experience on promoting equality and reducing discrimination and inappropriate behaviour in the Australian army.

He emphasised that “the army has to be an inclusive organisation in which every soldier, man and woman, is able to reach their full potential and is encouraged to do so”.

Morrison, who ended his four-day tour of PNG on Saturday, recently launched the concept of “respect” as the fourth value of the Australian army along with courage, initiative and teamwork.
