GRADUATES from the Mapex Training Institute were challenged to contribute to the workforce.
Chief executive officer Marcus Kara told the 15th graduating class of the plant and motor vehicle department on Friday to apply their skills effectively to earn the confidence of their future employers.
“Many of you will be starting at those entry-level jobs that will be the beginning of your careers,” he said.
“Go fourth and make your unique contributions.
“Whoever your employers are, show them the trust, confidence, commitment, knowledge and skills that you have learnt.”
There were 313 students that graduated after a two-month theory and practical programme in various operator and driving courses.
The graduates received certificates for operating mobile cranes, bulldozers, front-hand loaders, excavators, semi-trailers, backhoes, forklifts, dump-trucks, buses and light vehicles.
They also received their licences from class one to seven which allows them to operate the different machines and vehicles that they were trained in.
