OUTGOING Esa’ala MP Moses Maladina has expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the people of his electorate for allowing him the honour and privilege of representing them in parliament for the past 10 years.
Maladina, a key minister in the O’Neill-Namah government, lost his seat to Steven Davis.
Maladina said Esa’ala, which is made up of the group of the islands, was a special place in need of both protection and development.
“I have done my best to achieve this during my terms as their elected representative and I hope that these aims represent the focus of leaders into the future,” he said.
Maladina also thanked the people of PNG for the opportunity they had allowed him to be part of the National Executive Council, for much of the past 10 years.
“PNG is a strong, proud country and full of potential. It has been my greatest joy to contribute to the building of this great nation.”
