THE National Apprenticeship Trade Testing Board (NATTB) will soon begin sessions for two subjects at the Malaguna Technical High School in Rabaul, East New Britain.
Trade testing in carpentry and construction would soon start with 20 participants from the Lihir gold mine in New Ireland.
Tests would be conducted over two days. Trade fees ranged from between K500 and K700.
According to NATTB officials, the fees were cheaper than having to travel to Lae or Port Moresby to be tested considering accommodation and transport fares.
Malaguna principal Eva Magaga said she was still waiting for forms to be sent from the NATTB office. The completed forms would ascertain the number of participants for the first-ever trade testing to be staged at the school.
Malaguna had been confirmed as a trade testing centre for carpentry and construction.
