Malaysian deported for breaching visa conditions

Malaysian businessman Peter Ling Koh Woo was deported on Saturday after breaching his visa conditions.
Woo, who is scheduled to appear before the Waigani District Court on July 20, was put on a Singapore-bound flight with an officioal escort. He was to be handed over to  Malaysian authorities in Singapore. He was served his deportation papers in front of his lawyer Greg Sheppard last Thursday and taken to Bomana prison to be detained.
Police and Immigration officers escorted him from the prison to Jackson Airport and government officers escorted him to Singapore.
Woo had appeared in court last week charged with false pretence with intention to defraud and misappropriate.
He also appeared on two counts of attempts to pervert the course of justice while being employed as managing director of a company between Oct 11, 2012, and Oct 7, 2015. He allegedly applied to his own use K352,794.73 belonging to that company.
