FINALLY an MP is doing something to alleviate poverty in the settlements.
The Moresby Northeast MP, Andrew Mald,  has taken the initiative to supply live chicks and feed mills to disadvantaged families in the electorate.
This is a break some families are looking for to venture into small-scale business activity and become self-reliant.
This will go a long way to improve the living standard of families.
We cannot continue to talk about big infrastructure development projects at the expense of suffering families.
It is a timely intervention by the MP.
