CHAIRMAN of the Mamose organising committee for the Besta Cup Peter Seske is inviting clubs in the region to take part.
The regional challenge will be hosted by Morobe Football Association (MFA) from Sept 13-16 in Lae, coinciding with the country’s 42nd independence anniversary celebration.
The tournament is sanctioned by Papua New Guinea Football Association.
Seske, who is also the president for MFA, said football associations in the region that are interested in participating at the tournament needed to send in their expression of interest and K1500 fee.
“The fees must be paid into the Morobe Football Association BSP account number 7010022288,” Seske said.
He said all member associations had to meet qualification requirements in the running of their competitions.
According to Seske, Ambuti in East Sepik was the first centre to express their interest and pay their registration fee.
“We expect other centres to immediately affiliate to allow the host committee to prepare in advance accommodations and other logistics,” he said.
“Accommodation will be met by the participating teams as local organisers will only book in advance for centres who can’t book themselves.
“The oragnisers are also requesting business houses and individuals to be partners in supporting or sponsoring teams for the hosting of the tournament.”
Seske said to get more information on the tournament, football associations could call the tournament director on 71148093 or the LOC chairman on 71440788.
