THE man accused of killing his wife, two step-daughters and babysitter is in police custody in Mt Hagen, Western Highlands deputy police commissioner, operations, Jim Andrews says.
He is expected to be charged with murder, Andrews said.
“He has cooperated with the investigating officers and they are now preparing his files.
He has not been allowed bail,” Andrews said.
The incident took place last week at Kim village, just outside Mt Hagen city.
According to locals, two children, a boy aged four and a girl, five, were at home with the babysitter and their step-sister.
He allegedly killed the two children first by slitting their throats, followed by the babysitter and the wife when she returned home from work.
The husband then broke a window and fled into nearby bushes.
