POLICE have arrested one of more than 10 men who robbed a goods store off K10,800 in goods and cash in Madang last Wednesday.
Madang police commander Supt Mazuc Rubiang said more than 10 men raided the Yellow Mary shop in Bogia at about 2pm and fled with K1,800 in cash and goods worth K10,000.
“Police were alerted of the robbery when the robbers sped away in a get-away vehicle towards Madang town,” Supt Rubiang said.
“The vehicle was identified by the store’s closed circuit television.
“Police stopped the get-away vehicle driver on the North Coast Road when he was alone heading towards Madang town.
“The robbers are armed and dangerous.
“The public should cooperate and help us with information of their whereabouts.”
