A CIVIL servant charged with stealing and threatening his staff had his bail revoked on Friday for breaching his bail conditions.
Boroko District Court Magistrate Ernest Wilmot revoked Port Moresby General Hospital (PMGH) nursing services deputy director Victor Vetari’s bail after an application was filed by complainants.
Complainants Charity Kiap and Alwina Basine, nursing officers at PMGH, filed the application last year because Vetari continuously harassed them after he was released on a K1,000 bail.
Vetari, 42, of Gegofi village in Rigo, Central, will appear in court for a pre-trial tomorrow.
He is charged with stealing and two counts each of threatening words and insulting words under the Summary Offences Act.
He was alleged to have on April 22, last year, used threatening words towards Kiap and Basine saying: “Your job is on the line”.
He was also alleged to have on April 23, used insulting words towards the same persons, saying: “Bloody idiots”.
Vetari was also alleged to have stolen a green 96-page exercise book containing personal information belonging to Basine.
All the allegations arose when Vetari delayed paying money he had borrowed from Basine.
It was alleged that he borrowed K400 from Basine through Kiap to attend his graduation in Madang and promised to repay the money when he returned but that never happened.
