Man charged with sexual abuse of minor

A man from Madang living in East New Britain was arrested and charged with persistent sexual abuse of a minor, police say.
Acting ENB police commander, Senior Inspector Joseph Tabali said yesterday that the 53-year-old suspect was from Garinam village in Madang but currently living at Dadul Block, in Sinivit, Pomio.
He said police acted on a medical report obtained from the doctor to charge the suspect.
The suspect is the grandfather of the 11-year-old and hjad been abusing her between 2013 and last year.
