Man charged with abducting two children appears in court

A MAN has been charged with abducting two children when he went into a compound and damaged properties.
In the Committal Court in Waigani, Port Moresby, yesterday, was John Mosoro, 52, from Wewak in East Sepik.
He is also charged with breaking and enter and being unlawfully on premises. It is alleged that Mosoro and others entered the compound of Gau Hoi at Tubuserea village in Central, on Jan 1 while Hoi and his family were out. Mosoro and his accomplices arrived at the address in five vehicles.
It is alleged that they entered the compound and destroyed properties inside and outside the house, causing damage worth more than K115,000. The children involved were aged under 14 years.
The case has been adjourned to a date yet to be confirmed.
