Man in court for presenting false documents

A MAN charged with presenting a false document at the National Court when applying for an estate appeared at the Committal Court in Waigani yesterday.
Daniel Kapi from Wabag in Enga was charged with conspiring, fraudulent uttering and forgery.
Magistrate Cosmas Bidar said it was an application for the estate of Kapi’s late brother Brown Kapi who left no will behind.
Kapi will return to court on November 7 for mention.
It is  alleged that on June 21 at the Waigani National Court, Kapi conspired with lawyer Timothy Cooper, Nile and Julie Kapi to present the document to the court. The document allegedly contained the false signature and details of Anderson Bola who he claimed to be a son of the deceased late Brown Kapi.
Cooper, Nile and Julie Kapi have also been charged.
