Man implicated in forgery case

 POLICE have arrested six people in relation to two crimes in Port Moresby on Tuesday.

A man has been detained at the Boroko cell awaiting his court appearance for forgery. 

Jackson Luke, 31, from Awaina village in Okapa, Eastern Highlands, is alleged to have forged the signature of a manager to access payments. 

The incident occurred between April 6 and 18 last year at the BNBM hardware shop and Oi Lau Timber yard. 

While the case was pending, police alleged that he committed a similar offence. 

Meanwhile, police in Port Moresby have arrested an escapee who was travelling in a taxi. 

Police said Kalos Aro Philip, 35, from Kagu, in Goroka, Eastern Highlands.
