A MAN has appeared in court charged with assaulting a supervisor over a pay issue.
Disai Tutu, 28, allegedly assaulted Lau Sei Kang, an expatriate logging supervisor, at a logging camp in Morobe.
Tutu, from Huon Gulf, appeared before Magistrate Tera Dawai.
Police prosecutor Constable Moses Samuel said the alleged incident occurred on Oct 27 at a logging camp in Huon Gulf when Kang, from Malaysia, went to pick up workers from a village.
It is alleged that Tutu complained that some of his hours had not been recorded on the time sheet.
Kang said it was because he had been absent.
Tutu allegedly punched Kang.
Other workers stopped him.
Tutu told the court that Kang had called him stupid and crazy. The case was adjourned to Nov 27.
