A MAN from Enga appeared in court on Tuesday charged with conspiring with someone to steal a vehicle at a home in Port Moresby last month.
Junior Joseph Yandeken, 28, from Lakemanda village, Kompiam-Ambum appeared from custody. Magistrate Cosmas Bidar said it was a fresh case and that the police would require some time to investigate and prepare a police hand up brief containing police evidence against the accused.
Yandeken was alleged to have conspired with Floyd Konica Jophsie in Gerehu to steal a Toyota Hilux at a residence at Lodge 10, Five Mile in NCD.
It was alleged that between May 29 and June 1 Yandeke stole the spare key of the vehicle belonging to his employer Oil Palm Industries.
He allegedly conspired with Jophsire and stole the vehicle on the night of June 1 at Five Mile.
Complainant Leslie Wunangen informed police who later investigated and upon receiving information, located the vehicle at the PTC compound in Waigani two weeks later.
The court was also told that the vehicle was sold to a third party.
Yandeken will appear in court again on July 20 for mention.
