A 33-YEAR-OLD man charged with wilful murder had his case adjourned to next month by the Lae Committal Court yesterday.
Johnathan Wilson from Sohe’s Torogota village in Northern appeared before Magistrate Pious Tapil charged with wilful murder.
His case was also adjourned to Aug 12 for the defence lawyer to file his submission.
Police alleged that Wilson had killed Alex Jenari on Feb 11 at a party.
Wilson was with family and friends and had invited the deceased to join them.
It was alleged that a fight broke out between Wilson’s brother and Jenari .
When Jenari was walking back to his house afterward, he was confronted by Wilson and was struck in the head with an iron bar.
Jenari was later taken to the hospital for treatment.
His condition had worsened and he eventually died a week later at Angau Memorial General Hospital.
