Man nabbed for drugs

 A MAN from Yangoru, East Sepik, was caught last Thursday at Bialla wharf in West New Britain with being in possession of illicit drugs.

Anton Paul, 26, was charged and found guilty when he appeared in the Bialla district court last Friday.

He was sentenced to one year imprisonment at Lakimata jail.

Provincial police commander Samson Siguyaru confirmed that Paul was caught with the drugs taped to his arms, chest and legs when he arrived at Bialla wharf.

Another man was also arrested and charged last Thursday for being in possession of two containers of medicine suspected to have been stolen for street sales.

Anton Berry, 35, from Chimbu appeared in Bialla district court on Friday and was ordered to pay a fine of K200 within six months.
