THE Waigani National Court has granted bail to a man charged with armed robbery in April this year.
Justice Panuel Mogish allowed Aku Kavina a K500 bail with surety payments by his two guarantors.
He allowed bail with conditions that Kavin report to the court registry once a week, not interfere with witnesses, or cause any trouble while on bail.
Mogish said the accused must not interfere with the complainants while awaiting his court proceedings.
He said that Kavin must remain at his guarantors home at Tokarara and within the National Capital District pending his committal proceedings.
It was alleged that on April 30, a group men entered the complainants’ house and allegedly held up two children who were in the house.
The court heard that Kavin allegedly stole a mobile phone worth K2700 and a laptop worth K2600 along with other items .
He was arrested and charged with armed robbery three weeks after committing the alleged offence.
