A MAN accused in a robbery committed in 2016 at the China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) office in Port Moresby pleaded guilty at the Waigani National Court.
Chris Wasa, 28, of Wosera, East Sepik, pleaded guilty in court for breaking and entering and committing the crime.
Justice George Manuhu granted the defence for time to provide a pre-sentence report and extended Wasa’s bail and adjourned to May 10.
When asked by the court if he had anything to say, Wasa apologised to the court for his actions and asked the court to have mercy on him.
It was alleged that on May, 26, 2016, Wasa, who was a security guard at the time, and two other guards broke the CHEC office door and made off with a safety deposit box containing K30,000 cash.
