A Central man has pleaded guilty to killing his brother in Port Moresby last year.
Abraham Baida Ake admitted in the Waigani National Court this week that he had used a kitchen knife to stab Simon Ake on the back at Gerehu.
The court heard that an argument started between the accused and his brother, Damien Ake, at Gerehu Stage 3B on Jan 25 last year.
It was heard that Damien was accusing Abraham of having a relationship with his wife. The argument heated up and Damien, armed with an axe, tried to attack Abraham.
Damien was disarmed by some relatives while Abraham ran towards the back of their house.
Simon chased and hit Abraham on the head with a piece of timber and Abraham then stabbed Simon.
Simon was taken to the hospital but died from the injuries he had sustained.
