A MAN went through a seven-hour operation after he was allegedly stabbed with a kitchen knife by his girlfriend.
It followed an argument over a cell phone at Gordon, in Port Moresby, last Thursday.
Acting Metro Supt Joseph Salle said a heated argument took place between the man and his girlfriend.
“The suspect (girlfriend) used a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim, he sustained a third-degree wound,” he said. The victim was bleeding profusely and was rushed to the Port Moresby General Hospital, he said.
