Manek back at work

CHIEF Ombudsman Chronox Manek is back at work and made his first official media appearance yesterday, after being shot by criminals, in what many believe was an assassination attempt, almost a fortnight ago. 
Mr Manek made several statements about three high-profile
investigations presented to the Speaker’s office by the commission before giving an
update that police
were still investigating and were yet to
establish the motive behind his near-fatal shooting.
He also thanked “everyone” for prayers and support and extended his festive wishes to supporters of the commission.
Mr Manek encouraged the media to be participants in the fight against corruption and abuse.
“The media continues to enhance the work of the Ombudsman, and I commend you for that, together without fear or favour let us continue,” he said.
